Objectives

OBJECTIVES

To support various activities directed to research of security concept and to conduct field studies related to the risks and threats to security, stability and defence;

To promote civic initiatives to strengthen the open civil society in the Republic of Moldova

To contribute to the monitoring process of legal framework reforms addressed to the areas of security, justice and defence.

To promote transparency and security reform initiatives in the field of justice, defence and national security in the spirit of international standards for rule of law.

To merge capacities for participation and involvement of actors and representatives of governance system, civil society, research institutions, national and international experts in the process of reform of security sector, justice and defence.

To support efforts related to strengthening the capacity of the renovation and professionalisation of security forces, strengthening democratic control over the security sector and achieve structural and institutional reforms.

To create a culture of security, which would stimulate and facilitate perception of national security agenda and reassessment of security dimension, from traditional security assistance, by the defence, to the safety assurance of life stile and social organization.

To promote effective methods of civil-military cooperation and democratic control of security and defence sectors in accordance with democratic norms.
