Reforma sistemului de justiţie în Republica Moldova. Standarde europene şi realităţi naţionale

Ladies and gentlemen, the EU expects that the Republic of Moldova demonstrates in practice its commitment to European values of democracy, rule of law, good governance, respectful human rights, and fundamental freedoms, including freedom of expression and of the media.  The EU along with other friends and partners of the Republic of Moldova remains committed to assisting in these difficult, but critical efforts. Justice reform is foreseen in the EU-Moldova action plan; commitments on the part of Moldova are there, and equally the readiness on the part of the EU to help.

These are important political commitments that should be reinforced at the highest levels. I should also say that the importance we assign to these reforms can be seen in that the European commission has recently allocated 3 million Euro for the implementation, in cooperation with the Council of Europe, of justice reform initiatives to strengthen the judiciary system....”
